The Dream Team

We call them the Dream Team because they made our dreams happen. These dedicated professionals are too humble to label themselves as such, but we think the name suits them and their work. Meet the people behind Pinkie’s Farm.

The Dream Team and the Farm Team with Pinkie, Valentine’s Day 2021.

Dr. Alberto Y. Robles

Big Chief

Dr. Robles, affectionately called Doc Abet, is a respected and friendly fixture in Pinkie’s Farm. His warmth is felt with his every-ready smile, hearty laugh and twinkling eyes. Along with his sunshine is a wealth of knowledge about farming, herd management, ruminant nutrition, and dairy production, along with a good dose of practical management wisdom. Doc Abet is the Team Leader of the Dream Team and motivates and organizes both consultants and farm staff to work with a full heart and strong values. A principled man with a strong nationalistic streak, Doc Abet’s wish is to develop dairy farming in the Philippines and generously shares his time and knowledge to willing and eager farms.

Doc Abet got his BS Chemistry from Adamson University in 1964, MS in Animal Science from UPLB in 1972, PhD in Nutrition Area (Ruminant Nutrition and Dairy Production) from the University of Missouri, USA in 1977.  After his PhD in 1977. Dr. Antonio Arenas Rayos

Chief Vet

Dr. Rayos, or Doc Tony, is the veterinarian of the team. Since the health of our cows is of primary importance, only the best will do, and Doc Tony is the best in his field. A sharp eye, a firm hand, and a caring heart has made him a hero to our barn crew and a miracle worker to our herd.  Both a veterinarian and a teacher, his visits to our barn strengthen our herd and enrich the minds of our staff. As a professor, he is multi-awarded and multi-published as well, so we know our barn crew and our herd are in good hands.

Doc Tony graduated from UP Diliman with a degree of Doctor in Veterinary Medicine in 1979 and placed 7th in the licensure exam the same year. Further studies and degrees followed such as a Master of Veterinary Science,  a Doctor of Veterinary Medical Science from Japan, training in Korea , and research fellowship in Japan. He is currently a Professor in the Institute of Animal Science and Graduate School in UP Los Banos and Affiliate Professor in the UP College of Veterinary Medicine.

Prof. Olivia Emata

The Big Cheese

If you love our products, give a round of applause to Ma’am Olivia Emata!! She is the person behind the products of Pinkie’s Farm. Starting with the basic milks and yogurts, she has steered the processing team to stretch their skills and create products like cheeses and butters, with plans for much, much more. Our processing plant can be considered an extension of her classroom, where she gives lectures and training sessions regularly to our staff.

Armed with a BSc and MSc in Agriculture from UPLB, she is currently a retired Associate Professor of the Institute of Animal Science (also at UPLB). With her expertise in Microbiology and Dairy Technology and her many publications, she is often tapped by many local and international organizations as a resource person.

Mr. Menandro M. Loresco

Expert in All Fields

Sir Andy guides us in the care of another important but often overlooked aspect in Pinkie’s Farm: our pastures. HIs “field” of expertise (pardon the pun) is in pasture production and forage conservation, so we are sure our herd always has enough quality grass to graze on. He also lends his expertise in managing our herd.

Currently Sir Andy is a University Researcher at DTRI-UPLB. He has a Masters in Agricultural Science, University of Melbourne, Australia, with a Field of Specialization in Animal Production and Resource Management.
